Some astronomers have discovered a rocky planets outside our solar system, with a density which proved equal to the Earth, according to a study by a European team.

Planet, known as COROT-7b, was discovered in February this year by the European space telescope, COROT, which has been tracking the star.

Planet is about 500 light years from Earth in the constellation monoceros, Unicorn. Although scientists have been looking for life in the sky in a long time, there are allegations that a planet requires a solid surface to support life.

Exoplanet from more than 300 known, it is the first planet discovered that was not big and gassy.

The findings of rocky planets like the Earth density brings us one step closer to finding other planets similar to our planet.

Although the planet is very hot and the lack of water means the planet is apparently unable to accommodate the life, scientists say, it remains to be an important step because it shows the rocky planets really existed.
